Stay safe and enjoy the Virgin Bet Ayr Gold Cup!

We are delighted to be welcoming spectators back to the 2021 Virgin Bet Ayr Gold Cup Festival on Thursday 16th - Saturday 18th September.

We know this is a challenging and ever-changing time, so here is a rundown of everything you need to know to keep yourself and fellow spectators and staff safe.

PLEASE NOTE

  • Face Coverings must be worn indoors unless seated consuming food or drink.
  • All attendees are encouraged to complete a negative lateral flow test before attending the Virgin Bet Ayr Gold Cup.
  • If you have any COVID 19 symptoms please do not attend and book a test immediately.

During the ever changing situation, to provide reassurance when booking, any customer who purchases a ticket for a future fixture will be entitled to either a transfer or obtain a full refund in the event it is cancelled. If a customer is required by law to be in self isolation at the time of the event and can provide the relevant proof, they will also be entitled to a transfer or refund. Please note that Ayr Racecourse also reserves the right to transfer, refund or upgrade you at any point based on any specific capacity restrictions and zoning protocols.

 

 

RETURNING TO THE RACECOURSE - FAQ’s

Will I receive my tickets through the post?
You will receive your e-ticket/s to your e-mail prior to the Raceday.

Where can I park?
Car parking is available to all as normal in the public car park between the Racecourse and Tesco.

When will the gates open?
Gates will open approximately 2 hours before the first race. Please see each fixture page for further information.

Will I get a refund if the event is cancelled?
Yes, if any customer who purchases a ticket for a future fixture will be entitled to either a transfer or obtain a full refund in the event it is cancelled.

Will Racecards be available?
Racecards will be available to purchase for £3.

Do I get a refund if I have to self-isolate?
If a customer is required by law to be in self isolation at the time of the event and can provide the relevant proof, they will also be entitled to a transfer or refund.

Do I need to provide track and trace details?
Yes, upon booking you will be asked to complete track and trace information. If you have not already done so please email info@ayr-racecourse.co.uk

Do you offer concession tickets?
Concession tickets are available for Thursday & Friday of the Festival, unfortunately we do not offer concession tickets for the Saturday. Concession receive £5 off full priced tickets, and can be booked online or over the phone.

Safety Measures while Visiting

For your safety and the safety of others, please make sure to observe the following whilst at our Racecourse:

  • Where possible, please travel to the racecourse in private transport.
  • Do not travel to the racecourse if you have any Covid-19 symptoms as entry will be denied.
  • Please comply with Government guidance relating to face coverings whilst at the racecourse.
  • Please comply with any health checks that may be required on entering the racecourse. Please arrive in good time to go through the necessary entry procedures
  • Be aware, your temperature may be taken on entry.
  • Familiarise yourself with your entry point [entry time] and location of amenities within the racecourse
  • Some racecourses may choose to operate a cashless event. On-course bookmakers/pool betting operators may accept cash.
  • Please use only the designated smoking areas on-course for cigarettes and e-cigarettes. [for racecourses with designated smoking areas]
  • Regularly wash your hands, use hand sanitizer and avoid touching your face and dispose of any used tissues appropriately.
  • Do not remove hand sanitizer or other personal hygiene products from their locations.
  • Do not congregate in specific areas of the racecourse (for example, along the rail or by the Winning Post).
  • Make sure all walkways, corridors and doorways etc are clear before you walk through.
  • Avoid face to face contact with other spectators and avoid hugs, high fives and any contact with people not in your social bubble.
  • Follow all signage and the instructions of staff, officials or any emergency service personnel present at the racecourse.
  • Do not try to access areas of the racecourse apart the area detailed on your ticket.
  • Make sure other members of your group have read and understood these guidelines.
