The opening afternoon of the three day William Hill Ayr Gold Cup Festival, Scotland’s richest Flat racing Festival, is Doonside Cup Day.
Treat yourself to a fantastic day out with top quality racing and entertainment.

The Class 1 Listed William Hill Doonside Cup is one of the top races of the Flat season at Ayr and is rich in history having produced some great winners over the years including Anna Pavlova (2007), Poet (2011) and Scottish (2015).

Another top race is the British Stallion Studs Scottish Premier Series’ EBF Fillies’ Handicap over one mile two furlongs.

Throughout the afternoon judges will also be mingling with the crowd picking best dressed ladies who will win a bronze coin and a place in the final of our Ladies competition which takes place on William Hill Ayr Gold Cup Ladies Day.

The fun then continues for another three hours after racing with The Dawn Patrol, one of Scotland’s top function bands, playing in the Horseshoe Bar within the Club area.
